Capital City Lions Club
Santa Fe, NM
Peace Poster Contest
San Francisco St. on Flag Day.
The Capital City Lions are men and women dedicated to serving those in need. In doing so, they enjoy fellowship and develop leadership. Our primary aim is to our community, then to those in need wherever they may be.
Throughout Lionism Internationally, our emphasis has historically been on sight conservation. In addition, we work in many other areas to serve our community.
Capital City Lions also offers many programs that are focused on promoting education and leadership skills for our youth. Some of our Youth Programs are tied directly to Lions Clubs International, some are statewide programs, and others are strictly local to our Santa Fe youth.
We have three major fundraisers, our Flag Placement Program, our bi-annual Yard Sale, and our NFL Raffle (which we do in conjunction with the Silver Hills, MD Lions Club).
Our club meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at six o'clock at the Adelitas (the former El Campanario Restaurant) is located at 3136 Cerrillos Road at the corner of Calle del Cielo. If you would like additional information on our meetings, or how you might join our club, please contact Tom Himrod, our Membership Chairman by submitting an e-mail on our "Contact Us!" page.
On Liberty Day, youth are given access to state government in action. Capital City sponsored a class from St. Francis Cathedral Elementary this past spring.
